10/16/08 The Beaumont Club, Kansas City
Another exciting concert announcement for the KC area as Broken Social Scene will be playing The Beaumont Club on October 16th. They are touring behind the great Kevin Drew solo album (Spirit If...) and the so-so Brendan Canning solo album (Something For All Of Us...). The seven piece line-up includes Brendan Canning, Kevin Drew, Justin Peroff, Charles Spearin, Andrew Whiteman (from Apostle of Hustle), Sam Goldberg and Leon Kingstone. Great news indeed as BSS put on a fantastic live show...but no female's on tour makes me wonder if they will be playing a few live staples that require a female voice. Either way tickets go on sale this Saturday, August 2nd. I'll report back after I see them play their Lollapalooza aftershow with Yeasayer to let you know how they're sounding.

That's great news...I just caught these guys at Lollapalooza last weekend. They were definitely one of the weekend's highlights.
I was at Lollapalooza too, although I didn't see BSS (I skipped them for Battles). I did go to their aftershow Sat night at The Metro which was great.
